Android Studio Basic for students

The second Short-term exchange of pupils took place in Gdansk, Poland on 20-25 May. 6-8 students from each country (Lithuania, North Macedonia and Poland) took part in Learning, Teaching and Training activities. There were 6 local students and 3 teacher participating in the activities.

The first day of the activity was spent playing getting to know each other and team building games which were prepared and organized by Polish students. Students had a chance to prepare lunch together and improved communication and working in group skills. After lunch students had a chance to embrace Polish culture when watching traditional dances. They also had a chance to learn basic steps and words in Polish. The evening was spent in cultural programme, where all partners had a chance to admire the pier of Gdansk.

On the 21st the day started with presentations of countries and schools. After that students had a tour of the school and had a chance to attend lessons. Then students from Lithuania presented what has been done in the previous Learning, Teaching and Training activity in Turkey. After lunch students watched online courses on BitDegree learning platform. https://www.bitdegree.org/course/learn-to-code-in-kotlin-by-building-an-android-app

On the 22nd students were divided into groups. Lithuanians were responsible for the coding and visual part of the App, Turkish, Polish and North Macedonian students worked on the reading comprehension texts. Project coordinators from partner countries filled in Europass documents.

On the 23rd students continued working on the App and different teams presented their work. The App was released. Students were awarded Certificates of attendance.

On the 24th students and teachers had a morning meeting to plan further steps on the App. The tasks and responsibilities were distributed among the partners. Then a cultural program started. Students visited the Old Town of Gdansk.
