The third Short-term exchange of pupils took place in Tetovo, North Macedonia, on 4-8 November. 6-8 students from Lithuania and Turkey took part in Learning, Teaching and Training activities. There were 6 local students and 3 teacher participating in the activities.

The first day of the exchange was spent greeting the participants and visiting the school. Mosha Pijade is a vocational school situated in a beautiful mountain surrounded town of Tetovo. Students study traditonal subjects as well as practical subjects in Agricultural or Mechanical fields. The first day was also spent visiting the cultural places of Tetovo: The Painted Mosque and Pena River.

The next day started with presentations of countries and schools. Student groups from Lithuania, Turkey and North Macedonia made PowerPoint and video presentations. Furthermore, students from Lithuania presented what had been done in the previous Learning, Teaching and Training activities in Poland and Turkey. Mobile App called Reading Comprehension developed by students during this project can be downloaded to a mobile device from here: download

The next day was spent visiting Municaplity of Tetovo, the State University of Tetovo and Digital School. Our students learned a lot about possibilities that Macedonian pupils have if they want to learn programming and coding at an early age, as Digital school is a perfect place for that. Visiting the State University of Tetovo showed how important and beneficial IT skills are and that learning programming can lead to interesting studies and a successful career. Visiting the Municipality of Tetovo was a great opportunity to know the city better. Our students had a chance to give questions to the member of the council, had discussions about the importance of international projects to the city.

On the 7th of November students generated ideas for the new app. Teachers and students agreed on the main topic for the new app. It was decided to start working on the calendar with the most important dates for European countries. For example, students will remember to congratulate their Erasmus+ friends on important dates of their countries. Students worked in groups and made a list of important dates for European countries. Then they decided on the task that will be carried out after the meeting to ensure that the second mobile app could be released during the meeting in Lithuania.

Students from Lithuania and coordinator from North Macedonia Bashkim Uzairi made a presentation on the App and were interviewed by the local television. The video can be found here:

Students and teachers were rewarded certificates for their outstanding contribution to the success of the third Learning, Teaching and Training activity.

The last day was spent in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Students were told about the history of the country and were shown spectacular monuments. A visit to Matka canyon was the highlight of the whole trip.
